I typically don't think of Rice as a "Victorian" type, but I chose to put her in a Jane Austenesque attire here. I don't color with pink very often, so it was a treat. Rice alwas ends up looking gentle and sentimental. This is one of the best pictures of Rice to date. Note, the flowers were originally done with copic marker and watercolor. I'm learning how to use elementary photoshop, so I blurred the colors together.

There's more than one way to skin a cat--and slay a vampire. I really like this picture of Evangeline (Duenen's outfit from Appleseed was the inspiration for her outfit.) Doing blood splatters is so much fun...am I morbid? The black splatter is vampire blood. Don't ask me why it's black.

This was done for a story in which Evangeline learns to become a lady, and appreciate the written word. I liked getting to draw her in a dress, rather than boy clothes. Writing the alphabet over and over 23 times was aweful!

For my most beloved character Hikaru, I did a poster of all the influential people in her life. While shading, I accidentally messed up Daniel's face. I had two options: Leave it, or try to make him look menacing by coloring his entire face dark gray...I thought I'd try the menacing look.

I hadn't drawn fairies in a long time, and I needed a reason to draw Yusuka. So from this, an all new story was born. I didn't have the heart to take away her glasses--they are just too much a part of her!

The costumes are both stolen from television: The dress is from an episode of Bananza. The black cape is a design the singer Gackt wore during one of Malice Mizers performances. Not much to say about this picture otherwise...its a story in the making.

Another character from my 2 year ongoing POTO role play. This is Wrath. Yes, Wrath. As in the Seven Deadly Sins, Wrath. If she looks familiar, I admit artistic purgery. Mikala from Kaori Yuki's "Godchild" series was a visual inspiration for her. I usually don't have models for characters, but Wrath was an exception.

After much toil and shivering fingers...I got it up! Of all pictures, this one needs the most love, because I'm not at all sure how it worked out. Drawing characters from books is always a challenge, and I'm not sure of how the characters in this picture turned out. JS, forgive any mess ups! If I failed, I shall never attempt it again. Still, the fabric and billowing capes are nice. There is more fabric in the picture of all the boys than there is in the girl's...how did I manage that? *laugh*

In tribute to the spring time season, Elba amoung...(artificial?) flowers. I do like the style though of her wings and the blossoms. It was fun to combine serious with something that looked "drawn." Like a child's scene!
